Bratislava, April 2 (TASR) - Slovakia's Recovery and Resilience Plan should support 200 projects aimed at strengthening relations with Slovaks abroad, according to information on a plan to conclude contracts for providing funds to non-governmental non-profit organisations under the remit of the Office of the Vice-premier for the Recovery Plan and Knowledge Economy, of which the government took note on Wednesday.
The European Commission will be informed that the milestone has been reached as part of the ninth payment request.
"The aim of this measure is to strengthen relations with Slovaks abroad, including members of the new diaspora, to increase the likelihood of their return home and to use their know-how to modernise Slovakia. The aim is not to hinder the movement of highly skilled workers, but rather to encourage a "circulation of brains". The investment will support the promotion of career opportunities in Slovakia, including via digital platforms containing information relevant for returning home. It will also support the activities of non-governmental initiatives with experience in this field and partnerships between governmental and non-governmental initiatives," reads the document.
