Blanar to Go to Brussels on Thursday for NATO Meeting, Rubio to Be There as Well

Bratislava, April 2 (TASR) - Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) is due to travel to Brussels on Thursday (April 3) for a meeting of foreign ministers of NATO-member states, which will be attended for the first time by new head of US diplomacy Marco Rubio, TASR was told by the Foreign Ministry's communications department on Wednesday.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and ministers from Australia, Japan, South Korea and New Zealand will also join the individual meetings.
According to the ministry, key Euro-Atlantic security issues, including defence spending and arms production as well as options for a peaceful resolution of the war in Ukraine and practical support for Kiev will be the main topics addressed by the NATO-Ukraine Council.
