STVR to Broadcast Live from Slavin to Mark Bratislava Liberation on Friday

Bratislava, April 3 (TASR) - Slovak Television and Radio (STVR) will televise a special broadcast from the Slavin Memorial in Bratislava on Friday (April 4) on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Bratislava's liberation during WWII, its PR manager Filip Puchovsky has informed TASR. "Viewers of Jednotka [channel] and the :24 news channel will have an opportunity to watch a live broadcast of the wreath-laying ceremony by the top state officials and their speeches. The official programme will be complemented with performances by choirs," said Puchovsky. The broadcast will be accompanied by a studio discussion during which a historian will explain the important historical context of the events of April 4, 1945. ko/df
