Liberation80: Exhibition at Kremnica Archive Accompanied by Veteran's Story

Kremnica, April 3 (TASR) - To mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the town of Kremnica, an exhibition titled 'The Liberation of Slovakia 1945' was opened to the public at the State Archive in Banska Bystrica on Thursday, featuring a personal story by Slovak war veteran Vladimir Strmen.
According to the organisers, the exhibition will commemorate the significant events of the liberation of towns and villages in the former Kremnica and Nova Bana districts. "Visitors will be able to view authentic archival documents, including chronicles documenting the liberation, records of the damage caused during the liberation of Kremnica district...," said Valeria Solcaniova, head of the State Archive in Banska Bystrica, Kremnica Archive office, in an interview with TASR.
Solcaniova added that the exhibition will also feature documents about mass graves, records of orphans and widows, various decrees, and other period materials. "What makes this event unique is the personal testimony of Vladimir Strmen, who will share his memories of dramatic moments during the liberation," she added.
'The Liberation of Slovakia 1945' exhibition will be open to the public at the Kremnica Archive on weekdays from 8.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. until the end of May,
