NDS Obliged to Evaluate Bids in Tender for D3-motorway Section Again

Bratislava, April 3 (TASR) - The National Highway Company (NDS) will have to re-assess the results of the tender for the construction of the the Oscadnica-Cadca, Bukov II half-profile section of the D3 motorway. This stems from a decision of the Public Procurement Office (UVO), which upheld some of the objections filed by an unsuccessful tender bidder. NDS should announce the result of a re-evaluation of the bids in writing within 60 days of the decision becoming final. UVO stated that the announcement of the result of the initial evaluation of bids for the first of the three missing D3 sections doesn't contain information proving compliance with the terms of the tender regarding technical and professional capabilities, which is explicitly required by the Public Procurement Act. Therefore, UVO ordered NDS to scrap the decision regarding the evaluation of the bids and to announce the result of their re-evaluation within 60 days. The most advantageous bid in the tender, amounting to some €230 million, was submitted by a group of three construction companies with Vahostav as the leading member. The competitive bid made by the D3 Horelica consortium with Eurovia SK as the leading member was almost €244 million. The four-kilometre section (including the Horelica tunnel) already forms part of the D3 motorway, but only in half-profile. ko/df
