Bencurik Leaving Post of Slovakia Travel General Director after Just One Week

Bratislava, April 4 (TASR) - Peter Bencurik is leaving the post of general director of national tourism promotion organisation 'Slovakia Travel' after holding it for only one week, Slovakia Travel's communications department head Zuzana Eliasova announced on Friday. Eliasova said that Bencurik resigned from the post for family reasons. At the same time, he stepped down as director of the Slovak exhibition at Expo 2025 Osaka. "We'll inform the public about a new general director in the next few days," said Eliasova. Slovakia Travel told the media that Bencurik had assumed the post of general director last Friday (March 28), replacing Ivana Vala Magatova. "Slovakia Travel thanks Mr. Bencurik for his work, professional approach and commitment to supporting and developing tourism in Slovakia as well as to the preparations for Slovakia's presentation at the 2025 Osaka World Expo," the Tourism and Sport Ministry, under whose remit the organisation belongs, has posted on its website. ko/df
