Bratislava, April 6 (TASR) - For ten years, the West Military History Club (MHC) has dedicated itself to military history from the First World War, through the interwar period, to the Second World War, club chair Miroslav Vurda told TASR.
With the help of various props, it portrays, for example, the Red Army, the Austro-Hungarian Army, the Polish, Czechoslovak, German and American armies. It also organizes exhibitions of weapons and period demonstrations of military camps and field kitchens.
Of the armies of the First World War, the club is primarily devoted to the Austro-Hungarian Army, specifically the 72nd Infantry Regiment from Trencin. From the interwar period, it is mainly about the Czechoslovak army from 1918 until 1919, when the war against Hungary was underway. "We also present the Czechoslovak army between 1930 and the mobilisation in 1938," he added.
During the Second World War, the repertoire of the West Military History Club includes the Red Army, the German Wehrmacht, the Romanian, Hungarian, Polish, U.S. as well as the Czechoslovak Armies and the first Czechoslovak Army Corps in the Soviet Union.
