Slovak and Czech Defence Ministers Emphasise Importance of Defence Capability

Bratislava/Lest, April 8 (TASR) - Supporting the defence capability of Slovakia, the Czech republic and Europe as a whole is important, Slovak Defence Minister Robert Kalinak (Smer-SD) and his Czech counterpart agreed during their visit to the military training centre in Lest (Banskobystricky region), TASR has learnt from the Slovak ministry's social media post. "Our shared history, strong mutual relations and common goals in the defence field compel us to continue building even stronger and tighter relations between our countries," the ministry stated. The Lest military training centre currently hosts nearly 200 members of the Czech army. They're part of the NATO Multinational Brigade, alongside armed forces members from Spain, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, USA and Turkey. lin
