Antalya, april 12 (TASR) - Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar attended the 4th diplomatic forum in Antalya on Friday at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, and also held bilateral talks with Bangladesh, TASR has learnt from the Slovak minister's post on Facebook. At the diplomatic forum in Turkey, "leaders from around the world are taking part, so I'm using this opportunity to hold bilateral talks with partners from more distant countries," Blanar posted on social media. The Slovak minister held discussions with Touhid Hossain, the Adviser for Foreign Affairs to the Interim government of Bangladesh. According to the post, they focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing multilateral cooperation. "Slovakia is an active member of several significant international organisations, and we're interested in participating in the shaping of global politics, contributing to stability, peace, and security. In this context, I've requested support for our candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council from Bangladesh as well," stated the head of Slovak diplomacy. Blanar noted that Slovakia could strengthen its trade dialogue with Bangladesh. "A few Slovak businesses are already operating here and have experience with this market. I believe that more opportunities will open up, for example, through a business mission, which we've agreed to initiate together," he added. lin
