Bratislava, April 13 (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini condemned Sunday’s attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumy in a social media post, calling for an end to killing of innocent people.
"Despite ongoing talk of peace, innocent people continue to die. The international community must use all diplomatic effort and apply pressure to stop the killing and push Russia to seek peace at the negotiating table. Not with guided missiles that kill innocent people," he stated.
At least 32 people were killed and at least 84 others injured in Sunday’s Russian missile strike on the city of Sumy, where two ballistic missiles hit the city centre as large crowds of civilians were gathering in the streets to celebrate Palm Sunday.
