Bratislava, April 13 (TASR) - House Chair Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) condemned the Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumy on Sunday, TASR learnt from his social media post on the same day.
"More than 30 dead and nearly a hundred injured, that's the current toll of the attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumy. There's no justification for such slaughter of innocent people. I strongly condemn this attack and hope for peace soon. Honour to the memory of all the victims," said Rasi.
Education Minister Tomas Drucker (Voice-SD) also condemned the attack, stating that children were among the victims. "The international community must do everything it can to bring Russian leaders to the negotiating table and ensure genuine peace talks," he added.
At least 32 people were killed and at least 84 others injured in Sunday’s Russian missile strike on the city of Sumy, where two ballistic missiles hit the city centre as large crowds of civilians were gathering in the streets to celebrate Palm Sunday.
