Bratislava Castle Courtyard Hosting Easter Medieval Crafts Market

Bratislava, April 18 (TASR) - The courtyard of Bratislava Castle is hosting an Easter medieval crafts market, organised by civic association Schatmansdorf along with the History Museum of the Slovak National Museum (SNM) from Friday until Monday (April 21), TASR has learnt. Artisans and local craftspeople are presenting their trades, including those of leatherworkers, potters, scribes, winemakers, beekeepers, turners, illuminators, falconers and coin minters. There will also be traditional Easter whip-weaving and period costumes, with a wooden merry-go-round for children and the opportunity to shoot a children's bow. "The experience will be rounded off by a medieval kitchen, where you'll be able to taste the historical dishes of our ancestors," stated the organisers. The medieval crafts market will be open in the castle courtyard every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free. mf/df
