ARDAL: Slovakia Borrows €634.5 million in April Government Bond Auction

Bratislava, April 22 (TASR) - Slovakia has borrowed €634.5 million via April's auction of government bonds, with total demand from investors reaching €1.671 billion, the Debt and Liquidity Management Agency (ARDAL) announced on Tuesday.
ARDAL sold four kinds of bonds with maturity dates ranging from 2028 to 2047. The average yield in accepted bids ranged between 2.1 percent p.a. and 4 percent p.a.
Slovakia obtained the highest sum (€255.3 million) from a sale of bonds with a maturity date in 2035. Investor demand in the auction totalled €607.3 million. The average accepted yield on maturity stood at 3.4369 percent p.a.
Another auction of bonds maturing in 2034 brought in an additional €241.5 million, with total demand from investors reaching €738.9 million. The average accepted yield in this case stood at 3.3824 percent p.a.
The state gained the lowest sum from bonds with the longest maturity period, ending in 2047. Bonds worth €60.7 million were sold at an average accepted yield of 4.0021 percent, with total investor demand of €110.7 million.
Bonds with the shortest maturity date (in 2028) brought €77 million into state coffers, with demand totalling €214.3 million and the average yield at 2.0815 percent p.a.
Slovakia borrowed €529.8 million in the regular monthly government bond auction in March, with total demand from investors being almost twice as high. The average yield in accepted bids ranged between 3.4071 percent p.a. for eight-year bonds and 4.1748 percent p.a. for bonds maturing in 2051.
