Interior Ministry Concludes Framework Deal on Police Car Wraps

Bratislava, April 22 (TASR) - The Interior Ministry has concluded a framework agreement for the wrapping of police vehicles, and under this agreement, due to stay in effect for a maximum of one year, the ministry could spend up to €142,000, VAT-free, according to the contract published in the central register. The contract was awarded by the ministry to a company called Bright. For wrapping a single vehicle, depending on its type, the state will pay between €890 and €1,050 euros, VAT excluded. Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) presented a new design for police vehicles, featuring the Slovak tricolour, at the beginning of March. Critics have pointed out that it is less visible in poor weather conditions or at night than the previous yellow-blue design. mf/df
