Metropolitan Rastislav Expresses His Condolences on Death of Pope Francis

Bratislava, April 22 (TASR) - Orthodox Archbishop of Presov and Metropolitan of the Czech lands and Slovakia Rastislav has expressed his condolences on the death of Pope Francis, secretary of the press department of the Metropolitan Council Office of the Orthodox Church in Slovakia Vasyl Kuzmyk told TASR on Monday, adding that he's also sent a letter of condolence to Cardinal Kevin Joseph Farrell, the Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church. "The late Pope was a man of faith who longed to share this treasure with every person. Following the example of the one whose name he chose when he was elected, he preached humility and love of neighbour, he performed works of mercy and called for sincere compassion, which our world so dearly lacks," wrote Metropolitan Rastislav in his letter of condolence, highlighting Pope Francis's good-hearted attitude towards Orthodoxy.
