Holy Mass for Late Pope Francis to Be Held in Bratislava on Thursday

Bratislava, April 23 (TASR) - A holy mass for the late Pope Francis will be held at St. Martin's Cathedral in Bratislava at 6 p.m. on Thursday (April 24), the Slovak Bishops Conference (KBS) has posted on a social network, adding that Slovakia will thus join the global mourning. The main celebrant of the holy mass will be the Apostolic Nuncio to Slovakia, Nicola Girasoli. Several Slovak bishops will also take part in the liturgy. "All priests and the faithful are invited to the service to pray together for eternal peace for the deceased successor of St. Peter," added KBS. Pope Francis died on Monday (April 21) at the age of 88. He had been the head of the Catholic Church since March 2013. The funeral of the Holy Father will take place on St. Peter's Square at the Vatican at 10 a.m. on Saturday (April 26). ko/df
