Bratislava, April 23 (TASR) - Slovakia is a dead cert to receive the fifth payment from the Recovery and Resilience Plan, amounting to nearly €600 million, and it should also be successful in its request for the sixth payment, Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) stated after Wednesday’s session of the government. The meeting of the targets and milestones of the Recovery Plan was one of the issues discussed by the government on Wednesday. The prime minister pointed out that Slovakia is applying for a revision of the Recovery Plan. "I especially want to highlight the constructive approach taken by the Deputy Prime Minister and Environment Minister [Tomas Taraba], who found solutions for reallocating resources that, for objective reasons, could not be used by his ministry to other departments," declared the prime minister. As a result, according to Fico, Slovakia will receive the fifth payment of nearly €600 million with 100-percent certainty, and it's preparing for the sixth payment, which will exceed €1 billion. "Based on an evaluation presented by the state secretary and the relevant ministers, Slovakia should also be successful in obtaining the sixth payment," added Fico. mf/df
