Bratislava, April 23 (TASR) - In 2024, labour inspectorates carried out a total of 18,266 inspections focused on verifying compliance with the prohibition of illegal work and illegal employment, during which 16,366 legal entities and self-employed individuals were checked, and the number of companies found to be employing people illegally rose year-on-year to 836 from 692 in 2023, according to an information report on the detection and suppression of illegal work and employment approved by the government on Wednesday.
