Secovce, April 25 (TASR) - A shared services centre in the town of Secovce (Kosice region) was opened on Friday, with Parliamentary Chair Richard Rasi (Voice-SD), Interior Ministry State Secretary Michal Kalinak and Secovce mayor Dominik Frajkor informing that the new joint office will provide various agenda for the town and 11 surrounding municipalities. The shared services centre will provide professional services of the school and building authority, services in the payroll, personnel and social areas, project management, public procurement and environment. "From now on, Secovce will provide service for the inhabitants of the town, for the inhabitants of 11 surrounding municipalities, and this service will be functional and, above all, of significantly high quality. Shared service centres are a kind of common office, which means that in one place here, citizens, but also municipalities can really settle the obligations given to them by the state," said Rasi. The Interior Ministry reported that the total cost of setting up the centre, including the implementation of construction works, the purchase of equipment, two vehicles, computer sets and a call system, stand at almost €500,000, ex-VAT. The Interior Ministry is gradually setting up 21 shared service centres in less-developed areas under a project to modernise local government. The setting up of the shared services centres is funded by the European Union through Slovakia's Recovery and Resilience Plan. am
