Krajci: Sutaj Estok Must Decide Whether to Respect President's Veto

Bratislava, April 25 (TASR) - Leader of Voice-SD and Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok must decide whether he will respect the decision by former Voice-SD chair and incumbent Slovak President Peter Pellegrini or continue to act as the main promoter of Prime Minister Robert Fico’s (Smer-SD) hoaxes, ex-health minister (2020-21) and MP Marek Krajci ('Slovakia'-For the People-KU alliance) declared in response to the President's Friday decision to veto the bill on so-called COVID amnesty. 'Slovakia' party chair Igor Matovic noted that the party will support the veto in Parliament. "The idea of declaring an amnesty for violating pandemic measures was twisted from the very beginning. The measures were meant to protect the most vulnerable from COVID-19," Krajci stated. According to Krajci, 'Slovakia' party will wait to see how the ruling coalition plans to handle the veto. "We clearly stand on the side of those who followed the measures during the pandemic to protect the lives and health of the most vulnerable," added the former health minister. mf
