Bratislava, April 26 (TASR) - People should follow the suit of Pope Francis and think about dialogue more than about fighting, as this is the way to live through the most complex historical events. "Without it, we have no chance," Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) posted on a social network in connection with the funeral of Pope Francis on Saturday. According to Sutaj Estok, Pope Francis was a man of peace, seeking peace for Gaza, as well as for Ukraine. "I have hope that, with the help of Francis' successor, both Gaza and Ukraine will experience peace in the near future. The whole world needs it," noted the minister. He urged people not forget the Pope's words: "a negotiated peace is better than an endless war". Sutaj Estok thinks that Saturday's farewell to Pope Francis should be an opportunity for everyone to get a little closer to peace. This shouldn't be only a goal, but also a starting point for leading the world out of a multi-layered crisis, he said. "Unless a man plays a role in it again, unless we return to the values that allow him to be human again, we have no chance of change," added the minister. Pope Francis died on Monday (April 21) morning at the age of 88. He had been the head of the Catholic Church since March 2013. A funeral mass for the late pontiff was held in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican on Saturday morning, attended by thousands of believers and numerous foreign delegations. ko
