Bratislava, April 28 (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini will attend the annual Three Seas Initiative (3SI) summit in Warsaw, Poland, on Monday and Tuesday (April 29-30), which marks the tenth anniversary of the initiative's funding and is hosted by Polish President Andrzej Duda.
The President's Office informed that this year's summit will consist of two parts. "In the first part, the heads of state of the 3SI member countries will attend a business forum alongside prominent figures from the business sector. They will also participate in a presidential panel titled Connecting for Growth: The Future of the Three Seas Initiative in the context of its 10th anniversary," stated the office.
The forum will bring together, in addition to representatives from the 3SI member states, associated and strategic partners, including representatives from the USA, the European Commission, and Japan. "The president will therefore be accompanied on his working visit by a large Slovak business delegation, with representatives of Slovak companies also holding separate talks with Polish partners about opportunities to share Slovakia's expertise in nuclear energy," the office stated, adding that the Slovak president will speak during the second part of the summit.
The Three Seas Initiative is a platform comprising 13 countries situated between the Black, Baltic, and Adriatic Seas, united by a shared ambition to improve physical, energy, and digital connectivity in Central and Eastern Europe. Associated partners in the format include Ukraine, Moldova, Albania, and Montenegro, as well as strategic partners such as the EU, the USA, Germany, and Japan.
