Warsaw, April 28 (TASR-correspondent) - Slovakia sees the Three Seas Initiative (3SI - 13 states located in the region between the Baltic, Black and Adriatic Seas) as an important opportunity for the development of cooperation between the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Jan Kubis, the advisor to President Peter Pellegrini for foreign affairs and international policy issues, stated on Monday in the context of the 3SI summit, which the Slovak head of state is attending on Monday and Tuesday (April 29). On the issue of Ukraine, he said Slovakia, as a member of the EU and NATO, will stick to the positions that have been adopted so far and its positions will be clear and legible. "There are different formats of cooperation, but obviously not all of them are so effective, so we need these formats to communicate with each other a little bit as well, and [we need] to develop in each format those models of cooperation that are possible. This Three Seas Initiative makes that possible," said Kubis. According to the president's advisor, the aim of the event is not only to review the initiative's ten years of existence, but also to look for new avenues of cooperation in areas, including energy, infrastructure, security, new technologies and artificial intelligence. Kubis stressed that Slovak entrepreneurs are already setting up specific agreements on cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, while a number of projects are also included in the strategic plans of the European Union. am
