Bratislava/Trnava, April 29 (TASR) - The police are dealing with the case of extra-parliamentary Democrats party vice-chair Juraj Seliga within the pre-trial proceedings, Trnava region police spokesperson Zlatica Antalova has confirmed for TASR, refusing to comment on the media reports about charges of incitement being pressed against Seliga. Markiza TV was first to break the news. "The police are investigating the case within the pre-trial proceedings that aren't public. The police cannot provide any more details on the matter if an investigator issues a decision that is not yet legally binding and has not been delivered to the parties concerned," said Antalova. Seliga said that he only learnt about the alleged charges against him from the media. "If this is a new precedent that the person concerned learns about the charges from the media, then the state of justice and culture at the Interior Ministry under the leadership of Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) is even worse than we thought until now," stated Seliga. He said that he hasn't testified in the case yet and that he isn't aware of the fact that he would have committed something illegal. His party is talking about political revenge. According to Markiza TV, Seliga is facing charges of incitement for the act that took place on February 21. The TV reported that the charges are related to a speech he delivered in front of the house in Velka Maca (Trnava region), where journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancée were murdered. ko/mcs
